Chroma Shift is developed by ARSS Studio. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or location. Your game progress is stored on your own device.
Three things do leave your device: anonymous usage and crash statistics that tell us how the game is performing, and — only if you choose to set a nickname — your leaderboard entry. The game also shows ads, and our advertising partner (Google AdMob) collects certain device and usage data in order to deliver those ads. All of this is explained in detail below.
Chroma Shift saves the following locally on your device so the game works between sessions. Unless you join the leaderboard (section 5), none of it is uploaded to us:
This information is removed when you uninstall the app or clear the app's data from your device settings.
One exception: if you choose a nickname in order to appear on the global leaderboard, your nickname, profile icon and scores are also uploaded and made public. That is explained in section 5, and it only ever happens if you set a nickname.
Chroma Shift displays advertising provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process data such as:
This processing is carried out by Google, not by us. To learn how Google uses this data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

We do not sell or rent any data. We do not build advertising profiles about you ourselves.
Chroma Shift uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the game is played and to find bugs. This is anonymous and statistical — it tells us things like “how many players finished level 4”, never who you are. The data processed includes:
We do not receive your name, email address, phone number, contacts or precise location through this. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the consent choice you make in the privacy prompt when you first open the game is applied to this data too.
Firebase is operated by Google. See Firebase’s privacy information and Google’s Privacy Policy.
The global leaderboard is opt-in. Nothing about you is published unless you choose a nickname. If you do, the following is uploaded to our Google Firestore database and is publicly visible to other players:
Please do not use your real name or any personal information as your nickname. If you want your leaderboard entry removed, email us at the address in section 11 and we will delete it.
Chroma Shift is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will take appropriate action.
Your game data is stored on your device, so you can delete all of it at any time by uninstalling Chroma Shift or by clearing the app's data from your device settings. Doing so also resets the analytics app-instance identifier described in section 4.
A leaderboard entry, if you created one, stays in our database until you ask us to remove it. Email the address in section 11 and we will delete it. Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months; crash reports are retained for up to 90 days. Data held by Google in connection with advertising is governed by Google's own retention policies, linked in section 2.
Advertising, analytics and crash reporting are provided by Google and are processed on Google’s infrastructure, which may be located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. The leaderboard database is hosted in the European Union. Where data leaves the EEA, Google relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses; details are in Google’s privacy resources.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on your consent for personalised advertising and for analytics — that is the choice you make in the prompt when you first open the game, which you can change at any time from Settings. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the game working for crash reporting and for protecting the leaderboard from abuse. Your leaderboard entry is published on the basis of your consent, given by choosing a nickname.
You can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it. In practice almost everything is already in your hands: uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes your local save and resets your analytics identifier, and we will delete your leaderboard entry on request. Email us at the address in section 11 and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EEA or the UK and you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
All data sent between the game and our providers travels over encrypted HTTPS connections. Leaderboard entries can only be written by the device that created them.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time — for example, if the game gains new features. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be announced within the app.
